Job Summary:
California State University, Fullerton is seeking an Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Non-Exempt for the Department of Admissions and Records-Records . The Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Non-Exempt should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Provides technical, professional, administrative support, plus fiscal oversight, to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Enrollment Services in the performance of the responsibilities for the overall planning, organization, and direction of the programs and services of admission to the University, including academic records, registration, and articulation. Monitors and facilitates budget, procurement, and pay processing, ensures compliance, and provides technical and administrative support in a wide area of responsibilities of the AVP of Enrollment Services, Director of Admissions and Records, Admissions Officer, and Associate Registrar. Also provides similar support to six (6) supervisors: Application Center, Evaluations, Records, Graduation Unit/A&R Service Center, TDA Unit, and A&R Technology Manager. Provides wide latitude, initiative, and judgment in the development of research and planning and in recommending program changes and modifications in the administration of Fiscal, Budget, and Personnel matters. On behalf of the AVP of Enrollment Services, manages Procurement cards for department expenses, and oversees total A&R budget of 3.2 million dollars. Acts as a purchasing requisition "approver" in the absence of the AVP of Enrollment Services. Provides independent research, problem resolution and analyses of staffing, fiscal, and logistical problems. Ensures timely receipt, distribution and use of funds and compliance with state, CSU and campus policies. Trains and oversees a full-time support staff. Other duties as assigned.



Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university/college and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. Thorough knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling, and punctuation; thorough knowledge of office methods, practices, and procedures. Ability to learn independently, interpret and apply a variety of complex University and CSU policies and procedures; ability to coordinate many different clerical and administrative assignments. Ability to perform and oversee a variety of complex operational, analytical, and administrative functions. Experience using various office equipment and the use of administrative software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools and applications. Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities. Successful candidates will be comfortable adapting to and embracing new technologies, self-motivated, reliable, high energy, and have a service orientation.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
