Associate Dean Students

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking an innovative, inclusive, and student success focused professional to lead the Office of the Associate Dean of Students. The Associate Dean is responsible for the design, development and implementation of all Student Services retention initiatives to promote inclusivity on the campus. The Associate Dean teams with other retention services and programs to increase student retention and persistence within an increasingly diverse student body. The incumbent directly supervises the Office of Student Conduct and Alcohol and other Drug Services, Fraternity and Sorority Life, New Student Initiatives (New Student Orientation), Student Persistence Research, and the Career Studio. The incumbent is a key participant in the Student Services Crisis Intervention team, coordinates interventions and assistance to students, and chairs the University's Student Intervention Team. The Associate Dean advises students on grade appeals.

Required Qualifications: Master's Degree from an accredited institution and three years of related professional work experience; or a Doctorate Degree from an accredited institution and one year of related professional work experience.

Relevant Experience:
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Student Conduct, Fraternity and Sorority Life, or Orientation.
At least one year of management experience.

Schedule or Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel
Variable work schedule.

Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience in the management or administration of at least two of the three areas; student conduct, Fraternity and Sorority Life or Student Orientation.
