Assistant Professor of the Practice

The Biology Department at Boston CollegeÂinvites applications for a full time, non-tenure-track faculty position with a 3-year renewable contract. The appointment which will begin on July 1, 2025 will be at the level of Assistant Professor of the Practice, and is primarily a laboratory teaching position. The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to teach Freshman and Sophomore level laboratory courses in Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology with the potential to teach additional courses in their area of interest.
A Ph.D. or an equivalent terminal degree is required and experience in teaching and mentorship is preferred.

The teaching statement should be no more than two pages and articulate the candidate's pedagogical approach to science education and highlight their experience with teaching and mentoring traditionally underserved students.
