The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $58,640.00 Annually
Maximum $68,640.00 Annually

Job Summary

Explore novel mechanisms of ion channel regulation and pharmacological modulation using advanced biophysical techniques including electrophysiology, fluorescence imaging, and protein engineering.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Electrophysiological recordings of cultured cells using whole-cell, cell-attached and excised patches configurations.
Multiplexing electrophysiology recordings with fluorescence imaging, mechanical stimulations with piezo-electric actuators, and drug delivery using gravity-fed and pressurized perfusion systems.
Maintenance of mammalian cells and plasmid library.
Transient expression of wild-type and recombinant ion channels in mammalian cells.
Proficient in both spoken and written English, excellent communication skills.

Required Qualifications

Education: Ph.D. in Biology, Physiology, Biophysics, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

Experience: Possess experience in electrophysiology and strong communication skills, demonstrated by a robust publication record and personal statement.
