The faculty of the College of Education at California State University Dominguez Hills invites applications from individuals for a Tenure Track; Assistant/Associate Professor position in the Teacher Education Division of the College of Education.

Responsibilities
Duties include teaching a variety of post-graduate/graduate courses in Mathematics education (face-to-face and online); demonstrating and employing digital tools that enhance learning in all courses; collaborating with faculty and public school partners in the development, review, assessment, and maintenance of the; assisting with promoting Teacher Education programs and recruiting students; assisting the department with operational and/or committee work; assuming college and university committee responsibilities; participating in and expanding partnerships with area schools to foster excellent field experiences and job prospects for our candidates; pursuit of a research agenda related to teaching and learning, with a focus on curriculum and instruction.

College of Education, Teacher Education Program
The Teacher Education program is one of two programs within the Division of Teacher Education in the College of Education. The vision of the College is to maintain a model of collaborative urban educational excellence. In partnership with P-14 schools, we prepare deeply knowledgeable education professionals who are passionate about helping students reach their full potential and who make urban schools the places where children, families, and teachers thrive. Accredited by NCATE and CTC, the College is recognized for preparing teachers, administrators, counselors, and other specialists who work effectively with a variety of learners from diverse backgrounds, especially those living in poverty. The Teacher Education program prepares teachers and a variety of other school-related professionals through the California multiple-subject and single-subject designations as well as through the Master's of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate in mathematics education or a closely related field;
Graduate study in mathematics education;
Minimum equivalent of an undergraduate major in mathematics and graduate coursework in mathematics;
Background and potential to develop and maintain a research agenda in mathematical thinking and learning;
Ability and willingness to teach courses in Mathematics Education at the post-baccalaureate and graduate levels
Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level and;
Experience with evaluation and assessment in educational settings.
Experience in teaching undergraduates from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (Spanish)
STEM background knowledge
Evidence of working with pre-service mathematics teachers and supporting their efforts to teach for equity and social justice
Experience teaching mathematics education courses at the college level;
Experience facilitating professional learning of prospective or practicing secondary mathematics teachers;
Experience with use of digital technology in mathematics education and
Active participation in professional organizations in mathematics education
Experience with preparing external reports for national and/or state accreditation organizations
