Job Description:

The Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Program at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) seeks a tenure-track faculty member in the area of Metallurgical and Materials engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a research program in metallurgical and materials engineering, with a focus in materials performance/failure analysis, structure-property relationships, extractive metallurgy, computational materials or related areas/fields. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to scholarly research activities, teaching, mentorship of students, a commitment to diversity and collaboration, and service to the metallurgical and materials engineering profession. Candidates should demonstrate potential to attract extramural funding.


Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in metallurgical and/or materials engineering or related field by the time their appointment begins.

Hiring decisions are based upon budget approval.

SALARY: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
