Responsibilities within this process include the evaluation and approval of program team priorities and investments as well as leading program/product evaluation and impact reporting. To this end, the individual will supervise the Evaluation Director for Penn State Extension. Approximately 50% of the individual`s time will be spent supervising and providing leadership to Assistant Directors of Programs in program (product) prioritization and their subsequent development, production and delivery to build a high-quality program and product portfolio that meets stakeholder's expectations in ways consistent with organizational goals and objectives. Approximately 30% of their time will be spent developing programming strategies and processes. This will consist of the improvement, development and implementation of organizational structures, processes, and best practices to accomplish programming goals. The remaining 20% of time will be focused on internal and external communications. The individual will work with the Extension Director and Dean as well as the Office of College Relations and Communications to develop and implement an effective communications strategy and plan to help explain and champion organizational direction, mission, and vision with a focus on program development strategies and implementation plans. Skills and Competencies: The successful candidate must demonstrate the capacity to manage the overall program and product portfolio for Penn State Extension and is expected to understand program development and product life cycle management (market assessment, development, delivery and evaluation).
