The College of Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering (CTAAE) is experiencing a significant growth in enrollment, especially in the School of Engineering (SoE) and the School of Aviation (SoA) at Bowling Green State University (BGSU).

The State of Ohio recently approved the SoE with the ability to offer three additional engineering programs in Electronic and Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, and Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering with the first courses in these programs to be offered in the Fall of 2024. We are taking an ‘applied engineering' approach to our new engineering programs compared to a traditional engineering science approach. Applied engineering approach meaning that majority of the engineering courses that will be taught in our respective disciplines will have an application laboratory course associated with it. The SoE also offers four technology related undergraduate programs and three graduate programs including an M.S. in Logistic Systems Engineering. The SoE has about 1,000 students, 20 full time faculty and staff, and over $1.5 million externally funded grants from National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. Department of Defense.

The SoA is one of the largest aviation programs in the State of Ohio and in the US. Currently there are over 500 students enrolled between our Aviation Management and Operations (AMO) program, and Flight Technology and Operations (FTO) program. It is one of the few academic programs in the country with an airport on its campus.

The College of Technology School of Engineering invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor in the following disciplines: 1) Systems and Industrial Engineering, 2) Electronics and/or Computer Engineering, 3) Electronics and/or Computer Engineering with a Robotics emphasis, 4) Robotics, 5) Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering, and 6) Aviation Studies.
