Essential Functions:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide day to day functions of all employment eligibility verification processes to include I-9 management and maintenance (processing, auditing, record-keeping, Banner Document Management System (BDMS) scanning, compliance with federal requirements), E-Verify submissions, customer service and communication with employees at all levels of the University regarding the employment eligibility requirements for new and rehired employees, data collection and entry, monthly and annual reporting, and providing administrative support to the ECC team.
This position is essential as it relates to NCCU being compliant with the Federal Government. For employers who fail to properly complete, retain, or make I-9 Forms available for inspection, fines can range from $100 to $1,100
per individual I-9.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of federal and state employment regulations, laws, and policies, applying I-9 and employment eligibility especially in the area of interpreting and guidelines and regulations; knowledge of Banner, E-Verify and BDMS Systems; proficiency knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) Applications; knowledge of record management; ability to advise and resolve questions, exercising appropriate levels to discretionary judgment; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment.

Salary and Benefits:
$31,200 - $45,230
