The University of Nebraska at Omaha Art and Art History program invites applications for an Instructor in Graphic Design/Studio Art. The ideal candidate will teach introductory and upper level graphic design courses. The ability to teach either traditional graphic design and/or emerging digital technologies will be considered. Teaching experience at the foundation level or in another studio area is valued. We seek a candidate with previous teaching experience and a commitment to teaching undergraduates of diverse backgrounds. Along with teaching all levels of design coursework, additional responsibilities include mentoring undergraduate students and providing departmental, university, and professional service.

The position requires an MFA terminal degree in Art, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Master in Design Studies (MDes), or MA in related field. Experience as a designer, art director or creative director is preferred. Additionally, candidates should have a commitment to teaching excellence, collegiality and departmental, college, and university service and have current authorization to work in the United States.
