Job Summary/Basic Function:
This is a temporary, part time position for the 2018-2019 academic year, funded by a Washington Digital Heritage grant from the Washington State Libraries.

Working between December 2018 and May 2019 with the Technical Services Librarian, this position will develop local standards, practices, and/or policies related to metadata creation and digital preservation of historic college materials.

This pilot study will focus primarily on the college's yearbooks and student newspaper, but other collections may be reviewed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Five years of experience in the functional operations of a library, archives, or special collections, including two years beyond the entry level.
Experience with the theories, standards, and practices of knowledge organization.
Cataloging experience.
Digital asset management experience.
Experience with historic materials / special collections.

Preferred Qualifications:
Original cataloging experience.
One-year lead / supervisory experience.
Project management experience.
Experience drafting library policy / procedures.

Physical Demands:

Work Hours: Typically 15 hours per week for a total of 330 hours during the grant period.
