Job Description

Fitness and Recreation Sports is looking for upbeat, high energy, flexible fitness instructors to work with both college students and faculty. They will also need to possess basic experience in operating gym equipment and giving instructions to others on how to use it. Classes may be for credit (PEX) or drop-in. Contracts run semester to semester.

Duties include:

Creating workouts to improve muscular endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular health

Instructing members to safely use gym equipment properly

Setting fitness goals and monitoring progress

Flexibility with work schedule

Ability to modify and scaffold workouts for beginners and advanced attendees

Required Qualifications

Candidates will need a current group fitness certification, a current CPR certification.

Candidates need to possess basic experience in operating gym equipment and giving instructions to others on how to use it.
