GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Provide training for Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and Home Health Aide (HHA) certification, as well as Dementia care, in accordance with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Division of Health Care Quality curriculum. The hybrid program includes self-paced online lectures through ReadyCNA, complemented by weekly student support for the online content. Additionally, the role requires in-person skills instruction at the college's state-approved lab and overseeing clinical rotations at local residential health care partner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create syllabus
- Instruct students online, lab, and off-site clinical.
- Coordinate with clinical site times, patient assignment, and duties
- Assess & grade students regarding course competencies
- Adhere to DPH course requirements
- Submit grades to Division
- Administer evaluations
Job Requirements:
- Registered Nurse
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- At least two years nursing experience
- At least one year of experience providing long-term care services
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Communication skills that demonstrate sensitivity to adult learners, non-native English speakers, and diversely prepared students. Bilingual skills a plus.
- Experience with post-secondary learning programs.
- Teaching or training experience preferred.
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.
Additional Information:
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
