Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Project Manager in Construction Services for the Facilities Services Department. The Project Manager, under the supervision of the Construction Services Director, is responsible for managing multiple construction, repair, and renovation projects of moderate design and construction complexity, volume, budget and timelines. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: manage the consultant selection process and contract negotiations; provide documentation for contracts; manage outsourced architectural and engineering consultants; prioritize and manage multiple complex commercial design projects; work with project constituents to develop scope of work; conduct project meetings; visit sites; ensure contract compliance; interpret and develop contractual language regarding scope of work and formalized policies, guidelines, rules and regulations; interpret and enforce building codes and standards; provide input to project management software program; and participate in the development of strategic project planning.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and four years(4) or a Master's Degree and two (2) years of related professional experience.
Related Experience: Progressively responsible experience as a project manager for increasingly complex projects typically requiring coordination of multiple trades and engineering specialties, mid-range timelines, and increased finances.

Excellent skills in project and budget management.

A valid Class C driver's license or higher operator's license within 30 days of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with a degree in Construction Management or a related field and/or a Project Management Professional Certification are encouraged to apply.

Schedule
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. This position is subject to occasional travel.

This position is designated as Essential Personnel. In the event of a campus emergency, special event, closure to maintain campus safety or building operations, this position may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours.

Total Compensation
The total compensation package includes a negotiable competitive salary, moving allowance (if applicable), a rich retirement plan, health insurance options that include dental and vision, life insurance, long-term disability, thirty (30) days of sick leave provided upon start date and two (2) days of sick leave accrued per full month after the first year of service, two (2) days of annual leave accrued each full month, along with many other benefits.
