Essential Functions:
The primary purpose of this position is to conduct cell culture, in vivo, and biological/biochemical experimental studies. Technical responsibilities include cell culture maintenance and genetic manipulation of cells, western blot analysis, RNA in situ, immune (histo/cyto) fluorescence, and QRT- PCR analysis, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, generation of plasmid constructs and novel reporter assays (LCCC), as well as independent experiment preparation/performance, data analysis and summarization of findings. This position requires the technician to be compliant with NIH policies.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Contributing: Related knowledge and experience required to perform assigned duties.

Journey: High school and one year of directly related experience required to perform the assigned duties.

Advanced: High school and two years of directly related experience required to perform the assigned duties.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge to design, conduct, analyze and troubleshoot experimental studies for a translational laboratory including: cell culture maintenance, western blot analysis, histosectioning, immune (histo/cyto) fluorescence, and QRT- PCR analysis, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, experiment preparation/performance, Chromatin Immunoprecipitation, preparation of DNA for high throughput sequencing and liquid chromatography, generation of expression plasmids, data analysis and summation of findings. Administrative duties: placing orders.

Salary and Benefits:
$31,200 - $43,767
