Resource Outreach Assistant - Independent Contractor

Hourly pay rate: To be determined, depending on the selected candidate's experience.
Hours per week: Up to 40 hours
Job Duties: Assist department with the goal of making the Professional Learning Network (PLN) a one-stop site for effective and promising practices, presentations and resources to be shared across the California Community Colleges system. Responsibilities include: helping to conduct outreach to procure professional development resources from California Community Colleges staff, faculty and administrators; researching resources that demonstrate and utilize effective and promising practices; assisting with the development of innovative strategies to support the goal of dramatically increasing the number of submissions to the PLN; researching college websites for presentations and useful documents; collecting contact information; calling and emailing faculty and staff for permission to post material; following up with events and conferences held throughout the state in order to collect presentations and materials to include on the PLN; and providing support and assistance as directed by the Training, Outreach and Marketing Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications: Experience: Three years of full-time equivalent related experience. Skills, knowledge and abilities: Experience in and comfort calling and emailing faculty and staff; general office skills; knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office and Outlook, and collaboration tools such as Slack; strong organization and project management skills.
