About the Position:
The Office of Academic Programs has responsibility for the planning, direction, and coordination of academic curriculum, programs, and policies for undergraduate and graduate education, general education, university advisement, assessment of learning outcomes, institutional and program accreditation, program performance reviews, and various other university and system-wide programmatic initiatives. Within the office of Academic Programs, undergraduate studies works with the faculty to develop and refine courses and academic programs that will ensure that our students succeed not only in the classroom, but also in their professional careers. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Scheduling Analyst (Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Non-Exempt). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Studies and General Education, and working with the Scheduling Lead, the Scheduling Analyst performs administrative and technical duties involving complex scheduling tasks with strong analytical skills. Using a facilitative approach, the Scheduling Analyst supports the operations of a varied, complex unit which includes the administration of academic scheduling policies and processes, system analysis, and translating functional needs into technical specifications for class scheduling (PeopleSoft CMS), 25Live space and event scheduling, and correlated Curriculog functions (curriculum online system). In collaboration with the Scheduling/Academic Programs staff, the specialist supports the needs of and trouble shoots reported issues from college/department staff, faculty, students, and the campus community regarding academic and event scheduling and approved curriculum. May assist with processes related to the Academic Planning Database (APDB) as directed. Develops, reviews, maintains, and cleans up the class schedule and ensures data integrity. Tests and implements new tools for scheduling. Utilizes a combination of project management, team facilitation, and systems analysis skills. Other duties as assigned.




Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs. Working knowledge of the general practices, program or administrative specialty. Basic knowledge of and the ability to apply fundamental concepts. Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit or administrative specialty. Knowledge of and the ability to apply basic methods and procedures used for research and statistical analysis. Ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques. Ability to make independent decisions, exercise sound judgment, handle multiple priorities, and organize and plan work assignments. Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
