Position Summary
Prairie State College seeks a candidate for adjunct faculty who is qualified to teach in required discipline. Candidates should be willing to explore innovative approaches to enhance student learning and provide high quality instruction so that each student may meet course expectations. Successful candidates will be responsible for effectively preparing, teaching, grading, and assessing student learning and collaborating with the Dean and colleagues to improve the student learning experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Master Degree.
Expertise in field.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience working with a diverse student population.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience at the collegiate level.
Experience at the community college level.
Experience with traditional and non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds.
Experience in teaching online and/or using course management programs.
Experience in course development and assessment, planning, quality and accreditation processes, and committee service.

Compensation
Following is the pay schedule for adjunct faculty:

1-2 Semesters $706 per contact hour
3-6 Semesters $726 per contact hour
7-23 Semesters $758 per contact hour
24+ Semesters $769 per contact hour
