Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Doctoral degree in Mathematics or a closely related field by start of appointment. We seek applicants with evidence of potential for excellence in teaching at the university level, outstanding research potential, and a commitment to department service. Successful candidates may have expertise in any subfield of analysis, including, but not limited to, real analysis, complex analysis, harmonic analysis, functional analysis, and geometric analysis. Applicants should demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross- cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience.

Responsibilities:
In addition to teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, the faculty member is expected to supervise graduate students, to maintain a program of scholarly activity, to work on curriculum and program development, and to participate in shared governance. In particular, the faculty member is expected to teach our year-long sequences in undergraduate and graduate analysis and to supervise our exit exam in analysis and teach the corresponding review course. Candidate must address the needs of a student population of great diversity – in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language, and academic preparation – through course materials, teaching strategies, and advisement.
Salary Range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Starting Date: August 21, 2017.
