Salary for Announcement: The hiring range is $43,144 $51,550. The final salary will commensurate with education and experience.

Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Alumni Relations is an essential member of University Advancement responsible for administering all aspects of alumni engagement programming. The Assistant Director works to increase alumni engagement and private support for the institution in accordance with the University's strategic plan, and reports to the Director of Alumni Relations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
35% Alumni Relations Programming
Under the direction of the Director of Alumni Relations, support all aspects of alumni programming including creation, facilitation, management, staffing and marketing of new and continuing alumni programs;
Coordinate all aspects of the career services programing, working closely with the universitys C2 Hub and career staff;
Provide support and coordination for all alumni benefit programs;
Coordinate all aspects of membership, gift and benefit fulfillment.

35% Event Management
In coordination with the universitys event staff and the Director of Donor Engagement, oversee event planning for all Alumni Association events including the annual Alumni Awards event and Alumni Weekend;
Work with Advancement Services to create event registration pages as necessary;
Work with vendors to coordinate event needs; and
Coordinate and supervise all event volunteers.

15% Alumni Communications
In coordination with the Stewardship and Annual Giving teams, create comprehensive alumni communications calendar;
Work with Advancement Services to create and send email communications using Blackbaud NetCommunity;
Manage alumni social media accounts, including content creation, positing, and strategy.

15% Volunteer Recruitment and Board Management
Work with Advancement Services to create a volunteer management tracking and reporting system to support volunteer management efforts;
Actively recruit alumni volunteers for various programming and volunteer needs;
Appropriately manage and steward alumni volunteers;
Work with campus partners to identify volunteer opportunities; and
Assist the Executive Director of the Alumni Association with board management and logistics.

Required Qualifications:
1) Bachelors degree
2) Program development experience
3) Experience in event management
4) Experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel
5) Experience managing volunteers including recruitment, tracking, and assigning duties
6) Experience working in Raisers Edge (or similar CMS software.)

Preferred Qualifications:
1) Masters Degree
2) 3+ years experience working in higher education
3) Experience using social media including Facebook, twitter, Instagram, etc
4) Proven verbal and written communication skills.
5) Excellent organization skills.
6) Strong leadership skills and the ability to take initiative and drive a team to achieve goals.
7) Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
