Assistant Professor of Creative Writing

Basic Function:
The successful candidate will teach 6 creative writing courses per year, will advise students and student projects (including WPI's junior-year interdisciplinary project), and will serve on faculty committees.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Faculty in the Humanities and Arts are established scholars in their fields and play a significant role in the universitys nationally known global studies program and project-based curriculum. Faculty collaborate with various regional institutions, including Worcesters WICN Public Radio, the Worcester Art Museum, Harvard Medical School, Berklee College of Music, Worcester Historical Museum, and UMass Medical School.

Position Requirements

We plan to conduct Skype interviews in late 2017 or early 2018. Interested candidates should submit full applications, including a curriculum vitae, statement of teaching and creative interests, samples of published creative work in fiction, poetry, and nonfiction, and list of 3-5 confidential references to our online Human Resources site.
