Assistant Professor/Associate Professor of Networking and Security (ISAT/Telecommunications) - 0405086
The Integrated Science and Technology Department (ISAT) (isat.jmu.edu) at James Madison University (JMU) seeks applicants for Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Computer Networking and Telecommunications area. ISAT is an ABET accredited, multi-disciplinary applied science program producing graduates with strong problem-solving skills acquired from a curriculum that integrates science with technology and policy. Interdisciplinary areas in the ISAT Department are Applied Biotechnology, Energy, Engineering/Manufacturing, Environment, Information and Knowledge Management and Telecommunications, Geographic Science and Intelligence Analysis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching hands-on undergraduate courses at all levels in computer networking and telecommunications. Additional interest in policy design for telecommunication, network security, network programming and/or network design is highly desirable. Collegiality is important and the successful candidate should have a strong interest in interdisciplinary and innovative teaching methods. The ideal candidate will embrace a culture which employs multi-disciplinary approaches to problem solving. A Ph.D. (or near defending his/her Ph.D. dissertation) is required and industrial, business or governmental hands-on experience is highly attractive.
