The college and the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering program has research centers and laboratories in the areas of space safety/mission assurance, polymer engineering, extractive metallurgy (electrorefining/electrowinning), advanced materials research, tissue engineering, 3D printing and manufacturing and materials management. Job Description:


The Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Program at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) seeks a tenure-track faculty member in the area of Metallurgical and Materials engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a research program in metallurgical and materials engineering, with a focus in materials performance/failure analysis, structure-property relationships, extractive metallurgy, computational materials or related areas/fields. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to scholarly research activities, teaching, mentorship of students, a commitment to diversity and collaboration, and service to the metallurgical and materials engineering profession. Candidates should demonstrate potential to attract extramural funding.



Requirements:


Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in metallurgical and/or materials engineering or related field by the time their appointment begins.

Hiring decisions are based upon budget approval.

SALARY: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
