Job Description:
Oversees academic support programs. Supervises staff, manages budgets and develops plans to manage and expand offerings and partnerships. Coordinates with other campus offices in developing and implementing retention efforts (beyond enrollment and recruitment). Works with Institutional Research to develop a data driven approach to assessing student support programs. Develops a plan to provide support across campus sites and programs. Provides leadership for the team in order to ensure quality, consistency and growth in these areas. Provides thought leadership on current trends in student retention. Works collaboratively across departments and divisions to ensure retention efforts are coordinated.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads the planning, delivery and assessment of academic support cohort programs.
Provides direct supervision to all direct reports in accordance with all collective bargaining
agreements.
In partnership with offices across campus and external, and in keeping with the Strategic Plan,
develops and implements a data-driven plan to ensure academic quality and student success.
Develop and manage budgets in keeping with programmatic goals.
Work collaboratively with the Associate Dean of Early College Programming to ensure that all
early college programming is providing appropriate academic support.
Collaboratively lead college wide efforts to study and improve retention.
Seek out additional funding opportunities and partnerships to expand the college's offerings in
this area.
Serves as a member of the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs Leadership team and
other internal and external committees as designated by the AVP.
Duties include all instructional sites.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field.
3 years of experience in roles of academic leadership/coordination, preferably in community
college.
3-5 years of experience in the area of academic support.
3-5 years of supervisory experience.
Familiarity with current trends in student retention.
Assessment of academic support and cohort programs.
Leadership that is collaborative, inclusive, and able to help groups navigate disagreements.
Leadership that is both respectful of process and results-oriented.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from beginning to end.
Demonstrated commitment to the community college mission, diversity, and inclusion.
Excellent personal, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Additional Information:
This position is a reposting of a previous position. Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday Salary: $74,039.00 - $80,000.00
