Job Summary:
California State University, Fullerton is searching for an Associate Dean, Innovation and Program Development with a positive attitude, an active, energetic mind, and a leadership style that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity and kindness.

The Associate Dean, Innovation and Program Development, provides leadership and direction in engaging partners on and off campus to ensure that the university is well positioned to pursue opportunities in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship in self-support programming. Must encompass a forward-thinking mindset, a strong commitment to entrepreneurial opportunities in higher education, and a track record of facilitating high-quality partnerships across university divisions, academic disciplines, communities, and global contexts. In partnership with internal and external constituencies, the Associate Dean will examine existing infrastructures to optimize the development, support, and delivery of innovative solutions that support unit and university goals. Provides leadership for special projects. As part of the Dean/AVP's Leadership Team, the Associate Dean advises, supports, and assists the Dean and leadership team colleagues in the management of UEE/IPGE. Represents the Dean as a liaison in designated contexts at the Dean's request or in the Dean's absence. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:
Doctoral degree required from an accredited college or university. 3-5 years of administrative experience in a supervisory role. Demonstrates the ability to support organizational activities (e.g. project/program management, financial/budget management and analysis, staffing and professional development, strategic planning) in domestic and international settings. Appropriate competence to perform work required of the position and to lead projects in support of programs, student and faculty success, and organizational efficiency. Skilled in collaborating and working within an ethnically and culturally diverse organization as well as campus and external constituencies. Ability to lead and champion change and work effectively with ambiguity.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Special Working Conditions:
The scope of responsibilities for this position includes the making or participating in the making of decisions that may have a material financial benefit on the incumbent. Therefore, you will be required to file an initial Conflict of Interest Form 700: Statement of Economic Interests within thirty (30) days from date of hire and on an annual basis; and complete the CSU sponsored ethics on-line training within thirty (30) days of appointment, and at least once during each consecutive period of two calendar years following the appointment.
