Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a part-time Audio Visual Assistant 1 for the Fleischmann Planetarium.***This position does not offer layoff rights and is subject upon funding. The position will use the planetarium equipment to run daily programs, maintain theater settings, and preform opening and closing procedure. Other duties include, but are not limited to: performing lighting maintenance and care; reporting major issues to the supervisor; setting up equipment for presentations; providing customer service both before and after the show; preparing reports of problems or unusual situations; and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of experience in the operation and maintenance of audiovisual equipment; OR one year of experience as an Audiovisual Assistant Trainee in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Schedule
The typical work schedule will vary depending on the show times; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
