COMMUNICATIONS, RECORDS & PROPERTY ANALYST (Administrative Analyst/Specialist Non-Exempt)

Primary Duties:
Under the general supervision of the Civilian Manager, this position performs a variety of administrative and analyst duties related to CSU, Chico University Police department (UPD) records, property and evidence management, Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) management, compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines for various reporting (including Clery), and others.

Required Education:

The knowledge, skills and abilities listed above would normally be obtained through a bachelors degree and/or full-time equivalent training AND one year of full time administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs.

Special Requirements:
  • The person holding this position is considered a mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
  • A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who apply for the position. This considered a sensitive position. Current CSU, Chico employees are subject to a background check (including a criminal record check) if voluntarily moving into a sensitive position, regardless of any background checks previously conducted. Incumbent is responsible for the safety and security of Level 1 data, sometimes also referred to as Level 1 protected data. This is confidential information that is in most cases protected by statutes, regulations, or other legal mandates.
  • Throughout employment in this position incumbent must maintain a valid California Drivers License as well continued completion and compliance of the CSU Defensive Drivers Training course.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Incumbent/applicant will need to be able to perform the essential job functions (duties) of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. This position alternates between remaining in a stationary position operating a personal computer, or standard office equipment, for long periods of time and frequently moving about inside the office. Must be able to travel across campus to other offices and buildings for meetings and events.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position involves frequent to constant interaction with the public, students, faculty and staff. Work is performed in a typical office environment operating standard office equipment.
