Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for Childcare Worker 2's for the Childhood and Family Research Center.*** These positions do not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. These positions will assist in infant/toddler and preschool programs designed for care of children and for stimulation of their social, emotional, academic, and physical development. Other duties include, but are not limited to: assuming lead teacher responsibility for care and education of children in an assigned group; encouraging and facilitating parent/family interaction in center programming; managing the classroom environment; communicating effectively with other staff; and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years of experience working with small children in a preschool setting; OR one year of experience as a Child Care Worker I in Nevada State Service.

Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.

Schedule
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, varied schedule between 7:30 am to 5:30 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
