Provide clinical assessment, short-term psychotherapy, and group therapy to a diverse student population, particularly focused on underserved student populations; provide consultation to faculty and staff regarding student's counseling needs; plan and conduct diversity workshops and other outreach activities for various university groups; participate in training and professional development activities; provide crisis assessment and intervention services; practice in accordance with appropriate legal and ethical standards.



Responsibilities will also include assessing suicidal concerns and when appropriate, arranging for hospitalization, assessing severity of presenting problems, formulating treatment plans, and providing appropriate psychotherapeutic interventions which may include referral for long-term treatment.



This is a one-year, fixed-term position with the possibility to convert to a regular, permanent role.



Required Education:
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology or LCSW (Masters or PhD in Social Work)



Required Experience:
At least three-years clinical experience required. Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and experience working with underrepresented populations required. Experience working with diverse student populations. NY State license or eligibility.
