Description: The Department of Anthropology at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking candidates for a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor position in biological anthropology specializing in forensic anthropology. This is a permanent teaching position with opportunity for advancement. Successful candidates will have a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching. Candidates with expertise in human skeletal biology and osteology will be given preference. Forensic casework experience would be a plus. The ideal candidate will show an aptitude for academic program building. Candidates with a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusiveness in their research, teaching, and/or service are especially encouraged to apply. Clinical faculty members are expected primarily to teach and perform service, but may also do research.

Duties: Teach four courses per year at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, including introduction to biological anthropology and other service courses, forensic anthropology, and electives in the candidate's areas of expertise; administer the department's program of outreach to majors and alumni—including managing the department's online presence; participate in the intellectual life of the University; and provide service to the University.

Qualifications: Candidates must receive a Ph.D. in Anthropology by August 16, 2022.
