Position Summary
The Communication Specialist supports the Enrollment Services team to implement strategic communication pieces in-line with established communication plan through use of written and visual media. This is a part-time position.

This position is considered a Responsible Employee under Title IX federal regulations and Mandatory Reporter under Texas state law and The UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy. As a Mandatory Reporter, this position requires you as the employee to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about violating Title IX. These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Job Duties

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
-Ability to communicate and interact comfortably and professionally with various departments and vendors;
-Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment both independently and in a group;
-Knowledge of social media and digital marketing best practices;
-Ability to plan, implement and maintain multiple ongoing social media strategies across several platforms;
-Ability to produce creative designs and visual content based on concepts and ideas; -Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures;
-Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA

Required Education

Required Work Experience
-Two (2) years of experience in marketing;
-One (1) year of experience of online marketing

Preferred Qualifications
-Knowledge of website editing using a CMS;
-Knowledge of admissions process

Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations

Work Hours
Part-time, 20-hour work week

Physical Demands
Ability to lift/carry 20 lbs
