Job Description:
Come join our team of 65 professional and student staff that represent five continents and 16 native languages! NAU seeks a Director of Education Abroad (EA) that will provide administrative, motivational, and programmatic leadership to a staff of professional study abroad advisors, an EA assistant director, as well as an assistant director of NAU's Spanish immersion program located in Costa Rica. The Director of Education Abroad reports to the Associate Vice President for Global Initiatives and Executive Director of the Center for International Education. The successful candidate should demonstrate skill in diplomacy, professional communication, leadership, and relationship-building, and will have practical experience in developing partnerships, managing staff, and understanding the necessary processes related to operating a multi-faceted and student-centered Study Abroad program at a university level. This position involves domestic and international travel.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Student Affairs, Education, or related field AND eight years' progressively responsible experience in international education, with five years' experience in Education Abroad specifically, OR
Master's degree in International Relations, Student Affairs, Education, or related field AND five years' progressively responsible experience in international education, with three years' experience in Education Abroad specifically
Two years' experience directly supervising staff
Experience living/working/studying abroad for at least one year
