Director of the Mocs Club
The Director of the Mocs Club is responsible for leading the Mocs Club, the annual giving arm of athletic development for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The successful candidate will provide primary leadership for the athletics annual fundraising efforts, specifically to increase Mocs Club membership and increase unrestricted giving to UTC Athletics. This position will be tasked with increasing philanthropy to support intercollegiate athletics through a comprehensive annual giving campaign to include, but not limited to, direct mail, digital, phone and in-person solicitations. This position will be responsible for supervision of the Associate Director of the Mocs Club, and will report to the Associate AD, Development.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage all aspects of the Mocs Club, including the annual renewal of all members as well as implement strategies for increasing membership
  • Ensure proper stewardship of all Mocs Club members, including the implementation of a comprehensive communication plan
  • Conduct a minimum of 150 in-person visits with current and prospective donors
  • Supervise Associate Director of the Mocs Club
  • Create and maintain efficient and accurate gift reporting processes
  • Ability to articulate UTC athletics' needs, values and ambitions through excellent informal and formal communications, including written proposals
  • Assist Associate AD, Development in the identification of major giving prospects
  • As assigned, attend and provide appropriate staff support at athletic-related events, home and selected away games, championships and/or tournaments
  • Manage or assist in athletics focused special events for fundraising and stewardship

    This is a full-time position with evenings and weekend hours required. Compensation competitive and commensurate with education and experience.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred
  • Minimum of two years' experience implementing successful annual giving campaigns; experience in Intercollegiate Athletics preferred
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations, particularly those impacting representatives of institutions athletic interests
  • Fundraising database experience preferred
  • Must demonstrate ability to work on projects independently as well as within a team and prioritize projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Paciolan and Ellucian software preferred
