Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno Counseling Services is recruiting for a full-time, 12-month postdoctoral fellowship focused on Eating Disorders. An emphasis of this position is working with clients with eating disorders and conducting collaborative outreach activities to promote eating disorders awareness and prevention. This fellowship provides a great training opportunity for someone who is interested in working at a university counseling center and specializing in eating disorders.

Under the supervision of the Director of Counseling Services, the eating disorders focused psychologist and the training director, the postdoctoral fellow will provide a full range of psychological counseling, crisis intervention, and assessment services to university students (including comprehensive eating disorder assessment and evidence-based eating disorder treatment), with potential opportunity to supervise the clinical work of psychology trainees. The postdoctoral fellow will receive comprehensive generalist training in university psychological services, ranging from clinical assessment and treatment to campus outreach and consultation. In terms of eating disorders, the postdoctoral fellow will develop knowledge and skills in assessing, diagnosing, conceptualizing, and treating eating and body image issues from biological, psychological, sociocultural, and systemic perspectives. The postdoctoral fellow will also gain experience in working with other health professionals from Student Health Center in our Eating Disorder Treatment Team (EDTT), involving significant others in treatment if indicated, providing outreach and prevention services on campus, and networking with community professionals. The majority of this work is accomplished via one-to-one interactions with students, but may also involve group interventions and collaboration with faculty and other professional members of the community. All services provided are based on professional ethics, established standards for providers of mental health services, and state and federal law.

Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited institution in clinical or counseling psychology. The candidate must have completed a doctoral internship, in which they received supervision for counseling and psychotherapy activities. The doctoral internship must be completed by the anticipated start date of the position.
Candidates must have significant experience and interest in working with students presenting with varying degrees of eating disorder pathology. The candidate must have clinical experience in a college or university counseling center.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates that have completed a doctoral internship at an APA-accredited site are encouraged to apply.
