Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno's Cooperative Extension is recruiting for a full-time Facility Supervisor 1 for its Las Vegas office.
This position perform skilled labor in the areas of maintenance for the Cooperative Las Vegas office as well as two outlying Extension offices in Clark County. This position is responsible for duties which include vendor relations, working with contractors, securing and documenting bids, and supervising a staff of one. Successful candidates will have a strong knowledge in the areas of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, grounds keeping, painting, maintenance and administrative duties and will work closely with the Area Director and accounting for fiscal measures related to maintenance and repairs.

Required Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of experience in building construction or building maintenance; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.

A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.

This position requires climbing, lifting, moving heavy objects, working in inclement weather and exposure to chemicals.

Schedule
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm. This position will also be responsible for emergency and after hours calls as needed and directed.This is subject to change based on organizational needs.

3) Describe your experience inspecting work performed by contractors for adherence to plans and specification.
4) Describe your experience interpreting blueprints and schematic drawings.
5) Describe your experience preparing work orders and reports of work that has been accomplished.
6) Describe your experience interpreting rules and regulations pertaining to occupational hazard, job safety, and building and fire codes.
