Position Description
Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions
Developmental Mathematics Instructor:

Coordinate with Associate Director to plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instructions.
Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate or graduate students on topics as requested by the Texas College Career and Readiness standards for Mathematics.
Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
Prepare and administer course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, tests, and handouts.
Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, tests, and papers.
Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.

Required Qualifications
Ability to teach effectively. Job assignment can be full-time or part-time depending on the needs of the department. This position will be classified as Security Sensitive and requires a criminal background check if selected for employment.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in area of mathematics or a closely related field with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
