Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med), Office of Admissions and Student affairs invites applications for the position of Learning Specialist-Medical Students. The Learning Specialist, Medical Students coordinates and implements support services and enrichment programs for medical students at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR-SOM). Areas of responsibility include coordinating academic activities for Year 1 and 2 medical students, as well as wellness activities for all medical students, including advising the Student Wellness Committee. Activities will include training and hiring of Supplemental Instructors for the Year 1 and 2 curriculum, working with first and second year students in honing in on their test taking and study skills. Aid in development of learning workshops, along with coordinating the re-vamping of the medical student bridge program. This position collaborates with Student Services, medical students, campus counseling services, teaching faculty, the Office of Medical Education and the Office of Community Faculty.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in life sciences and two years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree and one year of relevant work experience
