Job Summary/Basic Function:
Duties:

Check in journals and continuations on automated system, including financial data for continuations

Retrieve, sort, open and deliver mail for library to and from campus mail center

Claim missing journal issues as needed

Maintain journals receipt and claims statistics

Check in newspapers

Order books and monitor status of account for McNaughton book lease program

Prepare requisitions and invoices for standing orders in Banner & SIRSI/Dynix systems

Retrieve usage statistics

Perform access maintenance and troubleshooting duties for the library's electronic resources

Search gift books in online catalog

Related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Education / Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
PC experience
Preferred experience: Two years library experience

Knowledge:
LC Classification system and Windows OS
General office procedures
Book publishing practices
Familiarity with Internet

Skills:
Typing (30 wpm)
Able to enter alpha-numeric data accurately
Good communication skills
LC Classification system

Abilities:
Ability to push and pull a full, wheeled mail cart up to 50 pounds
Ability to lift boxes up to 20 pounds
