Library Maintenance Technician
The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Library Maintenance Technician.
Applications will be accepted until 3/7/2018.
The Library Maintenance Technician provides routine and preventive maintenance on library equipment, as well as coordinating and conducting office moves for the library staff. The Library Maintenance Technician is responsible for identifying and troubleshooting problems with electrical equipment and, in consultation with the Facilities Manager, determines appropriate resolution. The Library Maintenance Technician provides support for staff concerning furniture repairs and replacement and provides backup assistance in the Mail Room, as needed.
Responsibilities include:
Daily expectations for this position include regularly lifting of up to 50 pounds, working with power tools and hand tools, working with objects with sharp metal edges including disassembly, relocation, and reassembly of metal shelving units, and standing on, and working from, ladders up to 12 feet. The level of daily physical exertion is often significant.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 1 2 years experience
- 1 year carpentry skills/Basic computer skills/Knowledge of basic electrical/Knowledge of basic HVAC/Knowledge of furniture moving
