Basic Function:
This creative videographer/motion graphics artist is a storyteller who works as part of the integrated marketing communications team to plan, concept, produce, and edit engaging video and audio content related to strategic goals for recruitment, retention, and reputation. Applies motion graphics skills to enrich video content and manages the video asset library.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, produce, and edit marketing communications videos and interviews of varying lengths and styles for use on campus displays, events, campaigns, media pitches, web sites, social media, and other channels and platforms.

    Storyboard, shoot, edit projects to completion.

    Record and edit video and sound projects, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice over/sfx, media management and archiving project media.

    Color grade, stabilize, and professional polish clips as needed.

    Collaborate closely internal campus partners and colleagues to facilitate the creation of multimedia content.

    Plan video shoots including production needs and schedule and scouting and reservation of locations, talent, and resources, creating and managing to budgets.

    Maintain, reserve, and rent equipment.

    Maintain brand consistency through all visuals.

    Manage video library and DAM (Digital Asset Management System).

    Evaluate analytics and make recommendations in collaboration with strategic partners.

    Work on weekends and flexible shifts based on production needs.

    Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors degree, preferably in communications, media arts, multimedia production or related field and 5 years of experience.

    Demonstrated comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of pre-production/planning, storyboarding, studio and field production, lighting/grip, audio engineering, and video composition.

    Strong post-production skills in digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.

    Experience administering and managing digital asset systems.

    Up-to-date with new industry technological advances, software and equipment.

    Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere CC, Adobe After Effects, and Photoshop.

    Ability to communicate with diverse professionals in a positive, collegial manner.

    Administrative, organizational, and project management skills to maintain digital assets, schedules, and equipment.

    Animation skills desirable.

    Ability to work quickly and under pressure with multiple deadlines.
