Job Summary/Basic Function:
Duties:
Verify requests for Direct Deposit and contact the employees for the proper documentation as a backup; process vendor payments, which includes processing Request to Pay Vendors' to send to the Accounts Payable department. Generate the payments wired spreadsheet and send to Cash Management Department, upload or fax the payment details and send the payments to various vendors. The vendor payment procedures and backups can be handled in various ways: Request to Pay, sending paper checks and a wire transfer to vendor accounts. Also, upload the details to vendor's website, fax the details, or mail paper details.

Work under the supervision of the Payroll Accountant to contact the time-sheet approvers/employees to clear the errors and/or discrepancies on the Bi-Weekly payroll. Input data and clear errors on the State HRIS (Human Resources Information System) reports; perform data entry to set up employee(s) in State TINS when needed. Answer phones, greet customers, and file documents. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Associates Degree in Finance/Business field and have a minimum of 2 years experience working in the Payroll and Finance areas, preferable to have State work experience. Overtime work hours and travel overnight for training purposes are required, but minimal.

Salary: $29,724

Work Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Overtime Work Hours & Travel are Required
