Basic Function:
A position is available for a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral scientist to join Lyubov Titova's lab in the Department of Physics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). The current focus of our group is application of ultrafast optical techniques to study optical and electronic properties of 2D van der Waals nanostructures.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The postdoc will investigate charge carrier dynamics in 2D nanomaterials using terahertz emission spectroscopy and time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy, time-resolved microscopic photoluminescence and nonlinear THz spectroscopy. Duties will include writing and editing of manuscripts, mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students and participation in outreach activities.

Position Requirements

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in physics or related discipline, a strong background in ultrafast optics and materials science, a strong publication record, an excellent work ethic and communication skills, and experience in supervision of undergraduate students.
