Job Summary
The Department of Cell & Developmental Biology is seeking a full-time Research Laboratory Technician Associate in a lab that studies neuronal circuitry and neurogenesis in Drosophila and mouse brain.

Responsibilities*
The candidate will assume responsibility for performing routine lab work and data analysis including Drosophila handling, molecular cloning, cell/tissue culture, immunohistochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, and imaging analysis. Additional responsibilities include recording and analyzing data under the guidance of a graduate student or postdoctoral fellow and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*
High School Diploma or Associates degree. Applicant should be highly motivated with thorough, methodological and accurate work habits, and must be able to work as part of a team. The ideal candidate has a strong ability to multi-task and has strong communication skills.

Desired Qualifications*
Experience in Drosophila handling and Drosophila genetics is highly desired. Mouse tissue handling experience is also highly desired.
