Campus Location: Research and Economic Development - BRITE

Essential Functions:
Work with senior academic advisor in outreach and recruitment of students; which include but are not limited to over 100 trips per year to middle, high schools and community colleges in North Carolina.
Work with outreach consultant to plan and organize activities related to outreach program for students visiting the BRITE facility from elementary, middle and high schools with the intent to recruit.
Participate in transfer days at NCCU and attend recruitment fairs at Community Colleges across the state. Take the lead in recruiting qualified students into the BRITE program for both Pharm Sci and Clinical Research programs and participate in follow- up calls/campaigns and marketing with the intent on meeting enrollment and retention goals.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Candidate must have a B.S. or M.S. degree in the science, math or technology discipline and possess a strong interest in working with STEM students with excellent communication and recruiting skills. Experience working at a high school, community college or university admissions office is a plus. Knowledge of SSB and INB web-based applications are preferred, but not required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Travels, extensively, in-state, working days, evenings and weekends representing the BRITE program at high schools, local college fairs, area receptions and STEM related events. Works with guidance counselors, students, parents and alumni organizations that assist with the recruitment of students. Plans and coordinates special recruitment events designed to enhance recruitment. Assists in developing marketing materials for the program and recruitment. Able to create recruitment campaigns with the intent of following up with potential students.
