The targeted salary may be set as high as $7,083 per month based on experience. The salary range for this classification is $4,372 to $9,877 per month.

Position Description
The Systems Deployment Specialist provides effective administration, operation, configuration and troubleshooting of servers, systems, and applications managed by the Servers and Systems Group in Information Technology Services (ITS). The incumbent will be responsible for managing and maintaining the different components that support the System Center Configuration Manager service.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to administer physical and virtual servers. Able to assist in the administration and maintenance of SCCM infrastructure. Ability to administer, maintain, and support the campus active directory. Ability to provide consulting and problem solving skills to campus coordinators for servers. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and nontechnical staff.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field and two years of related experience managing servers and systems required. required. Experience administering Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016 systems. Experience creating images, packaging applications, and deploying systems using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 in an enterprise environment. Experience with management and operations of Windows Active Directory. Experience developing programs and scripts using Powershell or Visual Basic.
