Coe College seeks qualified applicants for two full-time tenure-track assistant professor appointments in Psychology to begin in August 2018: one position in applied psychology (broadly construed) and one position in mental/behavioral health. The Department strongly values a commitment to a student-centered approach and a multicultural perspective in teaching, research, and practice. Ph.D. in psychology required by start date; candidates who can provide evidence of successful teaching and an active program of research adaptable to student-faculty collaboration will be strongly preferred.

Position 1: Applied Psychology (broadly construed): The successful candidate will teach Testing & Measurement as well as courses related to their area of expertise in addition to some general departmental courses such as Introductory Psychology, Seminar in Psychology, and Statistics. Occasionally, the successful candidate will also teach a first year seminar course in their area of interest. Candidates with the ability to contribute to the department's existing Organizational Science program are especially encouraged to apply, such as those with expertise in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Occupational Health Psychology, Applied Statistics or a related field.

Position 2: Mental/Behavioral Health: The successful candidate will likely teach courses including Introductory Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Learning and Behavior, and an upper-level Seminar in Psychology. Occasionally, the successful candidate will also teach a first year seminar course in their area of interest. Candidates with an interest in areas such as in Behavior Analysis, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and School Psychology are especially encouraged to apply.

Coe's psychology department includes 7 full-time faculty. The department is an integral part of the college's vibrant interdisciplinary Organizational Science and Neuroscience programs, and has a strong commitment to provide intensive, hands-on research experiences and internship placements for its students.
