The Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a full-time Visiting Lecturer position in Psychology.Applications are especially encouraged from individuals with teaching experience related to the psychology of race, ethnicity, and/or other forms of social identity, and/or research methods.This position is outside of the tenure stream, would begin in the Fall or Spring of the 2021-2022 calendar year (September 1, 2021-April 30, 2022), and could extend for up to two years. Subsequent renewals or appointment as a Lecturer I in Psychology may be possible. The successful candidate will join a department (https://psychology.pitt.edu) with a talented cadre of teaching-focused faculty who provide department-wide teaching mentorship, and a highly active Psychology, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (PEIC) that serves as a catalyst and innovation engine to advance the department's goal of inclusive excellence.

Qualified candidates will possess a PhD in Psychology (preferred) or an MS in Psychology (or equivalent). The successful candidate will teach six undergraduate course sections (or equivalent) per academic year, which may include mid- or upper-level courses in their areas of interest and/or research methods. Teaching assignments typically involve multiple sections of the same course so that the number of course preparations is reduced.
