Web Administrator

Position Summary
The University of the Incarnate Word seeks a smart, high-energy, solutions-oriented Web Administrator. Under general supervision, the Web Administrator is responsible for ensuring the control, integrity, and accessibility of the uiw.edu public website and university intranet infrastructure for the enterprise. The Web Administrator is responsible for the reliable uptime and optimal performance of the websites and the content management systems that drive content curation.
The Web Administrator is a member of the Information Resources division. The position is full-time exempt, reporting to the Director of Web and Mobile Operations.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Must be well-versed in web administration; knowledgeable in all levels of Internet/Web security and the associated requirements for their application. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. Must be self-disciplined, able to lead, communicate effectively, coordinate, execute on plans and monitor progress to a successful outcome. Able to research solutions, compare, select, implement, quickly learn new tools and technologies, and continually adapt to an evolving field. Ability to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at all levels of the organization. Ability to communicate, coordinate, and share responsibilities in outsourcing arrangements (e.g. design of a new website, or architectural components such as navigation, style sheets, wireframes, etc.) . Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required Education
Bachelors degree in CS or related, or a combination of two years of college with related work experience.

Required Work Experience
Two years of experience in web or portal administration.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree; three years of experience in web design; experience with any/all of the following: OmniUpdate CMS; Hannon-Hills Cascade Server; Banner9 ERP; Looking Glass portals; PHP; Java; SQL; OSX; Windows10; Linux; VMWare; WindowsServer; AD; HTML; XML; EDI

Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations


Work Hours
M F 8am 5 pm. Extended hours and days as needed.
