Oakland Orientation Coordinator

About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:

The Orientation Coordinator will be responsible for the management and implementation of the orientation programs in Mills College at Northeastern University. The Orientation Coordinator will work with peer Orientation Coordinators and Senior Staff to provide training, supervision, and evaluations for the Orientation Leader staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES INLCUDE:
  • Develops and manages programs designed to facilitate the successful transition of new students into the Mills College at Northeastern University community, particularly through transition programs such as New Student Orientation and Family & Friends programming
  • Develops and implements activities and services which orient new students to Mills College
  • Supervises the operations of the office, recruits, selects, and trains student leader staff, and collaborates with campus partners and stakeholders to uphold a community of care, inclusivity, and belonging.
  • Complete other projects and duties as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Masters in education, sociology, or project management a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Positive attitude and a team player.

The hourly rate for this position will be $20-$25 per hour.
