Description:

Queens College's Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry seeks a College Laboratory Technician who will report directly to the Stockroom Supervisor and will primarily be responsible for setting up and running the undergraduate chemistry laboratory courses. Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Preparing solutions/reagents as needed for undergraduate chemistry teaching laboratories, including introductory and advanced courses and organic laboratories.

• Dispensing glassware/reagents to students during laboratory hours, including evenings.

• Maintaining the teaching laboratories.

• Checking the condition of labs and proper handling of chemical waste in the instructional labs.
